Mr King and his students competed in tournament competion all over Europe at various Open Karate, Tae Kwon Do, and Kung Fu Martial Arts Championships, after having been quite successful in tournament competition Larry King was ask to represent Team U.S.A at the World Karate Championships in Groningen Holland.
Mr. King and his students ended up being photo spot lighted in the 1991 German Karate Magazine for having won 11 trophies at the 3rd Annual Martial Arts Championships in Karlsruhe Germany.

Mr. King believes that no matter what life deals you or you deal yourself in life, you can turn your life around and still become successful in life as long as you apply enormous amounts of focus, utilize self-discipline, will power, intestinal fortitude and have the proper mind set to achieve your goals.
Mr. King knows all to well what the words overcoming adversity mean based upon his own unfortunate personal experiences in life because once upon a time long long ago Mr. King took flight to avoid local prosecution he ended up being a fugitive from justice he managed to elude local, state, and national law enforcement for two plus years before he was arrested, once he was handcuffed and placed into the back of a police car then began a Road Trip to Hell from the east coast to the west coast.
Mr. King was transported from North Carolina via a small mini van full of prisoners from all over the country and at night Mr. King and the other prisoners was off loaded out of the mini van and placed into a jail cell, Mr. King spent the night in 13 different jails until he finally arrived in Colorado and was then brought before the judge, the judge sentenced Mr. King to probation, anger management classes, weekly theraphy, he told Mr. King that he must pay all court costs, fees and fines imposed by the court.

Lawrence J. King grew up without a Father, as well as having to deal with other problematic situations and circumstances in his life such as Alcohol & Drug Problems, Becoming Homeless 3 times, Domestic Violence Issues 3 times, Divorce 2 times, Loss of Gainful Employment several times, Isolation & Depression, Discrimination Issues, plus being Terminated from his Biker Club.
Mr. King has been arrested and put in jail 6 times, he has been on Probation 2 times, and had a Probation Revocation due to his deliberate insolence based upon him not adhearing to a No Contact Order from his Probation Officer.
Mr. King decided to defy his Probation Officer and got married to the woman with whom he was not supposed to be in contact with. Mr King had No Reguard to the No Contact Order nor to the Probation Officers Rules and so he was arrested again and was then ordered to appear before the judge and was then sentenced to the Department of Corrections for five years, to add insult to injury his 2nd wife divorced him while he was in prison and after his prison sentence was completed he had to deal with major Discrimation Issues, thus making it almost impossible for him to find gainful employment.
Just before Mr. King's mother passed away he attempted to see his mother in person one last time but in so doing his truck motor developed an engine problem which left him stranded on the interstate in Kansas U.S.A. thus his mother passed away before he could tell her that he loved her and say his final good bye.
Mr. King has suffered from Loss of Loved Ones, both Mother and Father dying of Cancer and losing his 2 children after a divorce as they remained in Europe with there Mother because Mr. King felt the need to relocate back to America to begin a new chapter in this game called life thus losing everything in his life that ever meant anything to him.
Mr. King's Non-Fiction books were written to benefit people from all walks of life, especially those with a less than perfect past. Flaws: I got 'em, Laws: I broke 'em, Dues: I paid 'em, Scars: I bare'em, Lessons: I for sure learned 'em.
